Creative Writing Club’s collective mission is to enable the students of Irvington to write what they wish (school appropriate) and have their voices heard through the artistic platform that is the Penchant Literary Magazine. Students will be able to hone their design and writing skills through the collective efforts of members and learn and create together. Creative Writing Club hopes to provide Irvington students with opportunities to expand their horizons and experiment with new forms of literary and visual interpretation. Because the creation of the magazine requires the collaborative effort of teacher publicity, student participation, and funding, Creative Writing Club should be recognized on campus. In order to maximize the material productivity of the club and garner the necessary support to fuel the platform, the only feasible way to continue without interfering with school policies is through the establishment of the club in Irvington.
