Through Debates, Socratic Seminars, and alternative forms of Civil Discourse, members of Junior State of America gain a sense of political awareness and are able to develop their own political ideology and affiliation. Through JSA, members additionally improve their public speaking and presentation skills, which prepares them for benchmark projects and other higher-level activities that they may face at Irvington, or at other institutions.
