MAZE DAY 2026

Returning Student MAZE

Monday, August 3rd and Tuesday, August 4th
8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

During MAZE Day, students will go through a series of stations to take ID pictures, receive their class schedule, choose their lockers, and more! The Viking Vendor will be open for students to buy any school merch they need, and clubs will also host booths for students to learn about all the active clubs on campus and sign up for those that they find interesting!

This year we have made some big changes to MAZE. First you can now use 5-Star to select your time slot for MAZE. You can sign up starting July 1st .  This will not only provide more flexibility but will also allow us to reduce wait time for everyone. Also please note the Clubs and Activities Fair is open during all of MAZE and you can explore clubs before or after your MAZE time slot.

Maze Day is a student-only event. It should take students about an hour to complete the MAZE process.

New Student MAZE

Wednesday August 5th
8:00 AM – 2:45 PM

Freshmen and New Students have a special orientation during MAZE Day. As new students check in, they will be partnered with a New Crew Leader who will take them on an orientation tour in addition to completing the MAZE Day stations. During New Student MAZE Day on Wednesday there will be a parents area near the courtyard with orientation information for parents to learn more about Irvington High School.

BEFORE MAZE DAY:

  1. Complete online district forms on Aeries Campus Portal. These forms must be completed online before MAZE Day for students to receive their schedule.
  2. If you are Senior you can schedule your Portrait at Dorian Studios.
  3. Returning Students make your appointment for MAZE on the 5 – Star App. If you can make an appointment before MAZE stop by the cafeteria during MAZE day and we can schedule an appointment for later in the day or you can wait in the stand-by line.

If you are unable to come to any of the MAZE Day times you will need to complete the online portions of MAZE Day before the first day of school. Make up school pictures will take place on the second day of school and be required for any student who missed MAZE Day.

Step 1: Check In (At your Scheduled Time)

Parking will be in the Main Lot only. You will be able to enter campus thru the tunnel.

For Returning MAZE, the Club and Activity Fair will be in the courtyard while you will need to go to the Cafeteria to check in for your MAZE Time Slot.

For New MAZE Check in will begin at 8:00 AM at the entrance tunnel next to the Main Parking Lot.

Step 2: School Pictures and ID Photos

All students will be taking their ID Photo during Maze Day.
For  9th, 10th, and 11th grade these same pictures are used for the yearbook.

You can order copies of your photos taken on MAZE Day online at Dorian Studios. Unlike past years you do not need a code, you can use your Student ID number to order pictures before or after Maze Day. Packages ordered will be delivered to the school in early September and available for pick up from the Viking Vendor. You can also download the order form and bring the form on the day of your MAZE Day. However, ordering online is preferred. Packages can be ordered all year. If you do not like the picture you ordered, retakes are available on September 24th in the Cafeteria for students who ordered picture packets.

Seniors you need to schedule your senior portrait at Dorian Studios for your picture to be in the yearbook. There are 5 dates to choose from so sign up now!

Step 3: Donations

School Donations & Technology

Irvington High School is now responsible for the costs to repair or replace damaged chromebooks. With school budgets already being cut we are asking families to make a $10 donation to go directly to these replacement costs. If we raise more than is needed for Chromebook repairs addition funds will go to copy paper, repairing and replacing lockers and other school beautification projects agreed upon with student council.

You can also donate by  bring a check written to Irvington High School to Maze Day and turning it into the Viking Vendor.
