A Club is an extracurricular group where students can share a common interest. Because of this students cannot receive class credit for any club event or activity. To be a club you must have: 

Have a certified staff member to serve as the club advisor.

Have filled out a club registration form. 

Be approved to operate by the site principal and student government (ASG).

Have a club constitution and budget on file in the student account office.

Be in compliance with all club rules.

Have an ICC Agreement Form

Inter-Club Council (ICC) is an ASG committee that serves as a crucial link between Irvington clubs and ASG, providing valuable information and guidance on all aspects of club affairs. Other responsibilities include reviewing new club applications, discussing current club issues, ensuring clubs follow both Irvington and district policies, and planning large school wide events such as Club Rush and Maze Day.

Applications will not be accepted after March 31, 2025.

**If you are a senior, you must have at least 2 underclassmen in your officer team. If you are a freshman, you may only begin applying in your second semester.**

Fill out the Club Application and Club Constitution.

Email an electronic copy of your application + constitution to clubs@ihsvikings.org AND submit a hard copy to the Student Union.

Wait for approval/rejection (can take up to two weeks).

For the next step in the approval process, you will be required to present your club idea & thorough briefing of event plans.

*Note: official approval is only given by the ICC committee. Mr. Willer or any other ASG member “approving” your club is not legitimate and you will not be listed as an official club. Additionally, you may NOT hold events or publicize your club in any way before official approval.

Trial Club:

1. Once approved, you will be serving as a trial club with limited privileges.

All forms are mandatory, inability to complete will result in a strike

Unable to host overnight events

2. ICC will provide further instructions and information regarding how to proceed in the process of becoming a club.

3. After a few months under supervision, we will notify you whether or not you will be rolled over as an official club.

Common reasons for rejection:

1. Lack of uniqueness/differentiation from other clubs already on campus
2. Failure to thoroughly showcase plans for the year
3. Lack of knowledge from the executive board on the club at hand
4. Lack of knowledge surrounding club logistics (ie. master fundraiser forms or money handling)
5. Little/no plans for future growth

Too niche/specific or too broad/general club focus

All information regarding clubs is on the ihsbluecrew.org website. Doing research beforehand and having sufficient knowledge of such procedures will highly increase chances of approval.

Club Rollovers:

Currently active clubs must be approved to continue operating next school year by ICC through submitting a club rollover application at the end of the current school year, by May.

A rollover application consists of the following components:

1. Annual Report
2. Club Constitution
3. Officer Chart
4. Budget Form
5. “My Club” Registration

• Organizations/academies must email ICC (clubs@ihsvikings.org) to obtain details regarding official registration under ICC/ASG to participate in events such as Club Rush, Maze Day, and more. 
• Conditions:
  • Exempt from monthly reports and president evaluations
  • Hosting general meetings is not required
  • Can fundraise/participate in ICC events
  • Must be added onto Google Classroom, Facebook & Messenger
